Call for evidence on the level of the annual limit on Tier 2

The Government has recently asked the Migration Advisory Committee to launch a call for evidence on the level on the limit on Tier 2 of the points-based system in 2012/13, including the intra-company transfer route, the resident labour market test and the minimum skill level for Tier 2.

The matters considered in this call for evidence include the salary restrictions for Tier 2 migrants, lowering the current annual limit on certificates of sponsorship and increasing the base skill level for Tier 2.

Businesses are encouraged to take part in the MAC’s call for evidence and the document can be found on the UK Border Agency website. Deadline for evidence to be sent to the MAC is 21 December 2011.
